Pele Power Rides
E-bikes · E-scooters · Spec comparisons

Ride farther. Pay smarter.

Pele Power Rides lines up 29 e-bikes and 11 e-scooters from 12 brands on the numbers that matter: motor watts, battery size, claimed range, weight, payload and safety certification. Every spec comes from the brand’s own page.

No hype, just the spec sheet

We read each manufacturer’s official product page, write down what it actually states, and put it side by side. If a brand doesn’t state a number, you’ll see a dash. We never fill in a guess.

How we work: these are spec comparisons, not hands-on tests. We haven’t ridden or bench-tested these models. Range and top speed are the brands’ own claims, and real-world range depends on rider weight, terrain, assist level and weather. Rankings are based on specs and value only.

Buying guide

How to choose an e-bike or e-scooter

Motor watts

Nominal (rated) watts is what the motor can sustain; peak watts is the short burst for hills and starts. 250–500W suits flat commutes, 750W handles hills and heavier riders. Compare like with like, since some brands only publish peak.

Battery Wh and range claims

Watt-hours (volts × amp-hours) is the real measure of the tank. Range claims are usually measured at low assist with a light rider on flat ground, so plan on less. Price per Wh is a quick value check.

Top speed and e-bike class

Class 1: pedal assist to 20 mph. Class 2: throttle to 20 mph. Class 3: pedal assist to 28 mph. Many bikes switch between classes. Check local rules, since some paths are Class 1 and 2 only.

Weight

Heavier usually means bigger batteries and fat tires, but you’ll feel it on stairs, car racks and if the battery runs flat. Folding bikes and scooters you plan to carry should be as light as you can live with.

Max rider weight and payload

E-bike payload usually means rider plus cargo; some brands also list a lower rider-only limit. Scooters list a max rider weight. Leave headroom, especially for hills and cargo.

Brakes

Hydraulic disc brakes stop best with the least hand effort, especially on faster Class 3 bikes. Mechanical discs are fine for slower riding. Scooter drum brakes are low-maintenance but weaker than discs.

IP rating

The IP code’s second digit is water: 4 is splashes, 5 is low-pressure jets, 6 is strong jets, 7 is brief immersion. An “X” means dust wasn’t rated. IP rating doesn’t mean waterproof, so don’t pressure-wash.

UL 2849 or UL 2272

UL 2849 covers an e-bike’s whole electrical system; UL 2272 covers scooters and other personal e-mobility devices; UL 2271 covers the battery pack. Certification to these standards is the clearest fire-safety signal you can look for.
